Effective August 28ththrough September 28th, the government has barred entry to Ukraine to all foreigners in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Some of the exemptions to the entry ban include:

  • Spouses or minor children of Ukrainian citizens
  • Parents and grandparents of Ukrainian citizens
  • Foreigners with Ukrainian temporary or permanent residency permits
  • Patients who come to Ukraine for medical treatment
  • Persons going to higher educational institutions
  • Members of diplomatic missions and international organization organizations accredited in Ukraine
  • Foreigners with work permits
  • Airline and freight crew

Foreigners and stateless persons transiting Ukraine are no longer allowed to enter. This change does not include drivers, crew members, etc.
